Applying Eyeshadow, Tips For Beginners

Applying eyeshadow tutorial for beginners can be a bit difficult.

1. Get an eyeshadow brush. If you're trying something bold, like black or bright eyeshadows, too much color at once will make you look like Bozo the Clown.

2. Go to the Dollar Store. If you find a bright green eyeshadow that you're dying to try, then look at it. Do you really like the color? If it's more expensive, see if you can find a similar color for a lot cheaper.

3. Watch makeup tutorials. Don't just watch the regular, everyday makeup. Look at the bold tutorials as well.

DIY minion costume



We hosted a Halloween party for our friends at our house last weekend. I knew right away we were going as a minion and Gru. My husband is a big bald guy and it was just too perfect.

Costumes were purchased at Goodwill, I used yellow RIT dye to dye the shirt and leggings and used black pipe cleaners and hot glued them to a yellow hard hat for my minion costume head. I got a witch nose from a halloween store and attached it with spirit gum to get the long Gru nose. I used a dark brown eyeliner pen and drew on his eyebrows and used MAC Satin Taupe around his eyes for that bruised look Gru has.
